Pixelated Stitch

Amazing work by Diane Meyer, I absolutely love her idea of creating pixelated photographs by cross-stitching into the images. Yum

This week’s favourite work is by artist HOTTEA completed during his recent visit to New York. HOTTEA’s turned the pedestrian walkway of the Williamsburg Bridge into a rainbow-hue tunnel using coloured wool.  - Rituals , HOTTEA Aug ‘13 (Photography by Luna Park)

Moving' by Travis

Amazing video by Wriggles & Robins

All visuals captured in camera by back projecting the animated story into the breaths of the band.
In the same way that you can see your breath on a cold day, filmed at -1ºC to make the animations appear.

Watch the making of here

Enjoy! x

Just spotted this post from my chum Kim. Such inspiring pieces of jewellery by Parker and LouLou.
Based on geometric patterns used in Moorish architecture around Granada, Andalucia.
Check out their etsy shop for more of their beautiful work xx http://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/ParkerandLouLou

This is the work of Leigh Bowser, who’s a fantastically talented embroidered illustrator.  Sadly, this now has over 23,000 notes and people have deleted the source.
TUMBLR USERS.  THAT IS NOT COOL.  STOP DOING IT PLEASE.  Leigh works really hard and her work is unique, this is part of how she makes a living and it’s not cool for people to degrade it to another tumblr reblog without credit.
You can see more of Leigh’s work on her Etsy page here =]

In January I went to see the First Cut exhibition at the Manchester Art Gallery. But during my visit I noticed a group of school children doing a little art project in the stairwell and I instantly fell in love with it! Something so simple and yet so perfect for that view of offices and rooftops. I just hope they kept them up as a permanent feature!
